Fitness Professional | Men’s Physique Competitor | Strength & Resilience Coach

Ben Lawson is a fitness professional, husband, and father of three whose life and coaching are rooted in discipline, perseverance, and purpose.

A former state champion in the 400m dash, Ben carried his competitive drive into the military, deploying to Afghanistan and serving as a combatives instructor. After returning home, he turned his passion for fitness into coaching, working with clients both in person and online.

In 2018, he began competing in men’s physique, earning 1st place in True Novice and 3rd overall in his first show, followed by 2nd place at Summer Shredding the next year.

In 2020, Ben was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. After losing 55 pounds and undergoing a bone marrow transplant, he set a goal to return to the stage within two years — and achieved it, placing 2nd in competition. He has since surpassed his pre-diagnosis strength numbers with a 500 lb squat, 405 lb bench, and 605 lb deadlift. His journey was featured in the documentary “Stronger Than The Storm.”

Today, Ben helps clients of all levels — from beginners to competitive athletes — build strength, confidence, and a mindset capable of withstanding life’s toughest challenges.
