Diahana Barnes is an award-winning personal trainer, speaker, author, and holistic wellness entrepreneur serving Medford, Central Point, Jacksonville, and surrounding Southern Oregon communities. With 14 years of personal training experience and more than 25 years across coaching, leadership, organizational development, nutrition, and wellness, she brings a thoughtful, whole-person perspective to every client relationship.
Her journey into fitness began in 2012 following the loss of her mother. While navigating grief and burnout, Diahana made a commitment to her own health and began transforming her energy, mindset, strength, and sense of purpose. She later stepped away from a corporate career leading a $40 million sales team to build a heart-centered coaching business for high achievers, entrepreneurs, retirees, and individuals ready to prioritize their long-term health.
Diahana holds a master’s degree in Organizational Management & Development and is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, Integrated Energy Therapy® Master, and Reiki Master. Her professional background includes corporate leadership, sales training, health and wellness coaching, nutrition, fitness instruction, holistic retreats, public speaking, and personalized lifestyle coaching.
Her own fitness journey became even more meaningful after turning 50. What began as a desire to lose a few pounds evolved into a deeper goal: feeling strong, energized, and capable of enjoying an active life with her daughter. Together, they have completed 5Ks, a 10K, and memorable hikes, reinforcing Diahana’s belief that fitness should support the life a person wants to live rather than revolve around a number on the scale.
Today, Diahana specializes in strength, mobility, balance, weight management, senior fitness, nutrition coaching, and longevity-focused training. Her sessions are highly personalized, encouraging, and enjoyable, helping clients build sustainable habits that support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Training Philosophy
Diahana believes true wellness comes from caring for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Her approach combines evidence-based fitness, personalized coaching, accountability, encouragement, and sustainable lifestyle habits to help clients become stronger, more confident, and more capable of enjoying the activities that matter most to them.
She does not believe fitness should require spending endless hours in a gym or chasing an unrealistic standard. Instead, she helps each client discover a way of moving and living that fits their body, goals, lifestyle, and vision for the future.
